巫師主場以91：78戰勝騎士，8勝3負，創自1975年以來最佳開局。

騎士命中率只有36%，遭遇3連敗。詹姆斯（LeBron James）21投8中22分，厄文（Kyrie Irving）22分6籃板，洛夫（Kevin Love）8分8籃板。

巫師的沃爾（John Wall）20投12中，得28分6籃板7助攻，替補塞拉芬（Kevin Seraphin）12分5籃板，比爾（Bradley Beal）12分5助攻；

首節最後2分鐘，巫師連得9分，以26：21領先。詹姆斯在第二節突然熄火，屢次投籃不中，防守也被皮爾斯（Paul Pierce）得逞，騎士以38：48落後到兩位數，此後連續投籃命中，巫師上半場以55：42領先。

詹姆斯命中率不高，下半場也沒改善，第三節過半，騎士將比分追成56：64，此後讓巫師打出10：2攻勢，以74：58領先16分。前三節騎士以65：80落後。

在騎士最需要詹姆斯的時候，他也未能挺身而出，3投不中，只能靠罰球得分。末節還有6分19秒時起，近4分鐘內雙方都未能得分。終場前1分25秒，巫師以89：77領先，騎士只得放棄，撤下了詹姆斯。
