如果只有一顆硬碟，要如何從MBR改成GPT

最新買了筆電，發現WIN8.1似乎錯用，於是興起了桌機改系統的念頭，以前我都是灌系統時FORMAT硬碟再安裝系統，想不到硬碟不讓安裝WIN8.1，看了說明後才知道必須把硬碟格式從MBR改成GPT，可是D槽裝滿了資料，不可能將系統安裝在D槽，所以只能用WIN7升成WIN8.1的方式，問題來了:
(1)不知道有什麼方式，可以把C槽改成GPT格式
(2)如果MBR格式也能安裝WIN8.1，那為什麼光碟片開機安裝時，它一定要求GPT呢
(3)從WIN7升成WIN8.1與直接安裝WIN8.1有什麼差異呢
