火箭主場以102：83擊敗黃蜂，止2連敗，

哈登（James Harden）此役狂砍下36分7籃板6助攻，投進8個三分球，刷新生涯紀錄。哈沃德（Dwight Howard）11分8籃板，在對手的嚴防下出現6次失誤。貝芙利（Patrick Beverley）14分。

黃蜂賽前傳來不幸消息，內線核心艾爾-傑弗森（Al Jefferson）被診斷為左側腹股溝拉傷，至少將休戰4周。主將受傷，也讓黃蜂戰力受到了很大影響，他們僅僅與火箭僵持了半場球的時間，就敗下陣來。亨德森（Gerald Henderson）得到16分，吉爾克里斯特（Michael Kidd-Gilchrist）16分。

首節，火箭還以23：25落後。第二節還有3分38秒，黃蜂以41：36領先。哈登先是投進三分球，再助攻，火箭將比分扳平，最後40秒，哈登和貝芙利各投中1個三分球，火箭以47：45領先。

貝芙利第三節投中兩個三分球，火箭逐漸拉開差距。哈登開始不斷外線開火，第三投中3個三分球。三節過後，火箭以76：68領先。

終場前4分25秒，黃蜂將比分追成77：88。哈登飆三分球，帶領火箭打出11：2的攻勢，以99：79甩開對手，輕鬆過關。
