湖南衛視《爸爸去哪兒》首季收視夯，再創林志穎父子事業顛峰，第２季10日開錄，據陸媒報導，原本５對星爸星娃全被換掉，「新爸爸」為曹格、黃磊、吳鎮宇、楊威、陸毅。曹格昨帶５歲兒子和３歲女兒飛抵重慶，以他每集酬勞60萬人民幣（約290萬台幣）來算，一季可撈金4350萬，更賺得好爸爸形象。

他戒酒後好運到，參賽《我是歌手２》聲勢大漲，加上她的女兒長得很像蠟筆小新，在微博人氣很高，湖南衛視力邀他加盟《爸爸２》，並安排在黃金時段播出，對打浙江衛視《中國好聲音３》。

他平常在家是好好爸爸，不會對小孩說教、下指令，以用遊戲的方式，啟發孩子成長。他的妻子吳速玲昨也同行，但今天是母親節，他讓她待在五星飯店裡納涼當貴婦，自己搞定一雙兒女。陸媒前晚搶先抵重慶武隆縣仙女山鎮，令小木屋場景提早曝光。
