副總統吳敦義可望在今天(4號)的中常會裡，被身兼國民黨主席的馬總統任命為副主席，才被任命為副主席台北市長郝龍斌今天表示，吳敦義副總統黨政方面的資歷非常完整，而且也操盤過選戰，選舉結果也非常好，郝龍斌說：『所以吳副總統能加入擔任副主席，我覺得不僅對黨內團結，黨內共識的凝聚有非常正面的幫助，而且對年底的選戰，我相信也會有很大的幫忙跟影響！(問：您覺得是權力平衡的開始嗎？)我覺得這是黨內團結很重要的一步！』

至於這樣的人事安排，外界解讀與2016布局有有關，郝龍斌再度強調黨內團結的重要，應該先團結全力爭取2014選舉的勝利，黨內團結最重要。
