西班牙狼狽結束「世足衛冕之旅」，遭到淘汰，球迷在問：放眼兩年後的歐洲錦標賽，是否需要大換血？教頭Vicente del Bosque回答「不必！」

「陣中還有些球員，對戰力大有幫助，我們會繼續觀察，」Vicente del Bosque說，「我不會因為年紀，就刷掉特定球員。」

「放眼西班牙足球的未來，我們當然會有動作，但我們基礎不錯，球員年紀也不那麼大，有不少年輕好手，所以我們得保持冷靜、面對未來。」

講到年紀，32歲的David Villa話題十足。這屆比賽開始前，這位明星前鋒曾說，賽後就要告別國家隊。然而西班牙匆匆出局，Villa改口，不再那麼斬釘截鐵宣示。

「如果可以，我希望為國家隊效力到55歲，」Villa說，「但那是不可能的，咱們還是實際點。我們的世界盃結束了，我會休息幾個月，這情況有點複雜，我想踢下去，但再看看吧！」
