周刊報導，烏坵防務明（2015）年年中後將交由海巡署負責，國防部5日表示，海軍並無相關規劃，海軍陸戰隊未來將維持適當兵力規模。

最新一期《時報周刊》報導，「明年年中後，烏坵防務要交由海巡署負責」，國防部表示，報導內容絕非事實，海軍並無相關調整規劃，對不實報導深表遺憾。

國防部指出，國軍「勇固案」目前仍在「計畫評鑑」階段，相關組織調整均在規劃中，海軍陸戰隊未來仍維持適當兵力規模及兩棲作戰核心種能，並擔負兩棲作戰、快反兵力、反恐應變及災害防救等任務。

國防部說，將在可達成上述任務的前提下，建構符合未來作戰需求的兵力結構。
