花蓮監獄 可參觀收容人作品

花蓮監獄在入口區成立了「展示中心」，館內陳列了各個監所以及矯正機關收容人的木雕、石雕、書法等作品，其中不乏讓人眼睛一亮的佳作，未來包括觀光客、遊客都可以輕鬆進入參觀選購。(劉敏娟報導)

花蓮監獄典獄長劉世添表示：「長期以來監所受刑人作品展覽室都在戒護區內，外賓參觀須經過層層關卡，非常不方便，有鑑於此，我們特別把辦公室前的倉庫活化，闢建為技訓藝文展示中心，方便讓外界參觀受刑人作品，而且還結合慕谷慕魚觀光路線，與異業結盟，讓觀光客以後都直接到展示中心參訪！」

展示中心展出的作品不限於花蓮監獄，還有來自其他矯正機關，包括木雕、石雕、書法等，其中不乏精彩佳作。

目前花蓮監獄共有1800多位收容人，除了透過技藝作業達到矯正成效外，也有藝文教化活動的班別，例如合唱團、爵士樂、國樂團及沙畫等，希望藉由音樂和藝術陶冶收容人心性，典獄長劉世添表示希望讓更多人接觸學生的藝文創作，並且給予肯定。(攝影：劉敏娟)
