世紀帝國是盛極一時的線上即時戰略遊戲，很多七八年級的玩家都玩過二代作品，可惜後續作品反映慘淡，即便推出 Online Game 最終也關閉伺服器收場，不過上個月微軟宣布會將世紀帝國新作 Age of Empires: Castle Siege 在 Windows 平台上推出，現在終於正式上架到 Windows Store，Windows 8 和 Windows Phone 8 的使用者將可透過電腦、手機或平板進行遊戲。

Age of Empire: Castle Siege 可從黑暗時代發展到文藝復興時代，可訓練 6 種不同文化種族的軍事單位與其他玩家對抗。

遊戲採用攻防戰的方式進行，除了部隊角色可強化訓練外，建築要要塞也能升級提升屬性。

遊戲中可玩到 10 個歷史戰役及招募知名的歷史英雄到你身邊，包括查理曼大帝、獅心王理查德和薩拉丁。
