IBM傳付格羅方德15億美元 轉讓晶片部門

彭博資訊引述消息來源報導，IBM已同意支付格羅方德（Globalfoundries）15億美元，把旗下虧損連連的晶片製造部門轉手給格羅方德。

報導指出，經過連月談判，IBM與格羅方德終於達成協議。IBM還會收到價值約2億美元的資產，因此這筆交易的淨價值為13億美元。兩家公司最快20日就會宣布此交易。IBM已於19日發布聲明，表示將在紐約時間20日上午7時（台灣20日晚間7時）宣布「重大事項」。

聲明中也提到，IBM將把財報公布時間提早到20日上午，而非原定的20日美股盤後。

根據知情人士說法，微電子製造事業占IBM整體營收不到2%，但該部門每年虧損最多15億美元。

IBM原本就與格羅方德有結盟關係，雙方合作開發晶片生產科技。消息人士透露，IBM至少從2013年開始就在為晶片製造部門尋找買主。由於一直找不到買主，今年稍早一度想找合資夥伴。
