雖然在第二局遭遇亂流，不過二刀流大谷翔平隨即恢復穩定，沒有再失分，4分落後的火腿也得以一步一步追趕上來，最終逆轉比分，戰績扳平軟銀。

大谷翔平昨天飆出12次三振，在日本職棒史上，季後賽或高潮系列賽投出兩位數三振的，他是第8人，第10次。

如果只看火腿的話，在大谷翔平之前，只有達比修有，曾經在2006年及2008年，兩度投出兩位數三振。

而在季後賽單場12K以上的紀錄，在日本職棒是第5次出現，上一次是2010年高潮系列賽軟銀和田毅的13K。

至於大谷翔平以20歲3個月的年紀，投出兩位數三振，僅次於2006年的達比修有的20歲1個月，是史上第二年少的紀錄。
