在歐洲央行(ECB)可能採取額外措施以刺激經濟復甦的新消息傳出後，週二午盤歐元貶值加深，且美國公布健康的房市數據同樣使歐元下跌。 

歐元兌美元周二午盤自前日的1.2795美元下降至1.2717美元。在ECB考慮是否開始買進歐元區公司債的消息傳出後，歐元在周二早盤交易起便開始下跌。

資產管理公司Appaloosa Management創辦人David Tepper週二下午在紐約市的Robin Hood投資者大會上向投資者表示，他看空歐元，增加歐元更多壓力。

美國9月份成屋銷售數據顯示，美國房市正在復甦。該份報告公布後，商品貨幣(紐元、加元、澳元)兌美元匯率逆轉稍早的漲勢，轉為下跌。 

中國GDP數據雖然是5年來最疲弱的水準，但因優於預期，公布後美元兌日圓自大規模拋售中回復過來，週二午盤自前日106.95日圓的水準上升至107.01日圓。

ICE美元指數周二下午上升至85.3570，周一晚間在84.9530。
