世界衛生組織（WHO）今天公布最新的伊波拉疫情統計，截至19日為止，確診、疑似與可能的伊波拉病例逼近1萬大關，達到9936例，死亡人數也攀升到4877人。

根據世衛組織統計，截至19日為止，向世衛組織通報的確診、疑似與可能的伊波拉病例累積達到9936例，並已有4877人死亡。這項統計包括已經分別在17日與19日宣告脫離疫區的奈及利亞與塞內加爾，以及美國與西班牙。

伊波拉疫情目前仍以幾內亞、賴比瑞亞與獅子山共和國等3國的疫情蔓延情況最為嚴重。其中，獅子山共和國所有省分至少都發現1個以上病例，全面淪陷。賴比瑞亞則是只剩下一個省分尚未發現疫情。

另方面，醫護人員的感染與死亡率仍持續偏高。截至19日為止，共有443名醫護人員感染，造成244人死亡。(中央社)
