為了搶攻5G通訊先機，由科技部與經濟部領頭的台灣代表團，將在24日與歐洲聯盟（EU）代表舉辦5G發展研討會，就雙方未來在5G技術合作互惠協議架構與實質合作交換意見。

5G是政府規劃的下世代科技發展重點之一，歐盟與台灣也都已經展開5G發展佈局。為搶攻5G先機，政府也將歐盟列為首要合作對象。

為此，由科技部與經濟部率領的代表團將於24日在布魯塞爾與歐盟資通科技委員會（DGCONNECT）合辦5G發展研討會研討會，包括經濟部、科技部、工研院、國研院、資策會、中科院、中華電信、華碩、聯發科及相關大學包括:清華大學、交通大學、台灣大學、中正大學等近30位台灣5G發展重要產官學界成員與會。

雙方將就5G技術合作互惠協議架構，未來實質合作、5G技術發展、市場預期與國際合作趨勢等交換意見，希望能進一步推動台灣與歐盟在科技發展上更為緊密結合，以創造互惠的實質效益。也希望能確立台灣與歐盟在研究範圍與目標的一致性，以利雙方未來合作互惠與資訊交流。(中央社)
