伊波拉危機，歐元區悲觀，及美元上漲，在在衝擊著美國經濟。但還要有比這些因素更多一點的利空，才能讓經濟學家David Rosenberg轉為看空美國經濟。

這位Gluskin Sheff公司首席經濟學家指出，周四公布的9月領先經濟指標較8月上升0.8%，較去年同期上升6.3%。

他說，該上升幅度相當於實質GDP成長接近4.5%。

此外，一個月擴散指數上升至90%，創四年高點。

通常，在經濟衰退的六個月內，領先指標年率會轉為負數，擴散指數下降至低於30%。

「由另外一個角度看，根據現在的領先指標年率與擴散指數，再套用典型的商業周期，我們距離下次衰退，至少還有二年時間，」 他說。

這對股市意味什麼？

「空頭市場不會憑空而來，」他說。「是由資金緊縮，經濟衰退所導致。這些情況現在都不成立，至少到2016年都不會成立。」
