東部接生最多 獲醫療奉獻獎

花蓮門諾醫院婦產科醫師廖基元，獲得醫療奉獻獎，將於11月1日接受立法院厚生會的頒獎。廖基元在東部醫療界服務30年，是東部地區接生率最高的醫師，獲得獎項，實至名歸。

門諾醫院在今天發佈這項喜訊，門諾表示，廖基元醫師花東行醫30年，在婦女醫療專業領域貢獻卓著，門諾員工私底下還以「門諾7-11」稱呼廖基元醫師，花蓮不僅將近一半的孩子是他接生，現在醫院有很多員工就是他二、三十年前接生的孩子。

廖基元年平均門診量約1萬8000人次，有許多特殊的案例對廖醫師來說，都是充滿興趣與挑戰的。
