明尼蘇達灰狼主控「金童」Ricky Rubio本季傷癒復出，表現依舊精彩，他的經紀人Dan Fegan「打鐵趁熱」，希望替他爭取到一張年薪千萬的大合約。

Rubio目前的合約將於2014-15年結束，最後一年的年薪只有507萬美元。

《Grantland》認為，Rubio本季平均每場9.1分、4.4籃板、8.5助攻、37.8%命中率的成績，尚不足以拿下年薪8位數的薪水。

有鑑於「愛神」Kevin Love很可能於今夏離隊、總教練Rick Adelman考慮提前跳脫合約，趁早與Rubio談判，決定球隊「改朝換代」或「砍掉重練」，對灰狼不見得是壞事。
