懲機上鬧事乘客 IATA：政府再加把勁

國際航空運輸協會(IATA)10日呼籲各國政府，對商務飛行中不守規矩的乘客，採取更強力的行動。
這個總部位於蒙特婁的全球飛航聯盟，已同意上週在一場外交會議中，對1963年的東京公約(Tokyo Convention)所進行的修改。這項公約規範了航空器內的違法行為，共有185國遵守。
來自大約100個國家的政府官員，參與了這項會議，並同意對公約進行修改。IATA表示，經過半世紀，應重新檢視公約，以拉近司法權上的差距，並賦予各國加強航空業者及機組員豁免標準的機會。
IATA理事長湯彥麟(Tony Tyler)發表聲明說，這項協議對所有搭機的人--乘客和機組員來說，都是好消息。
聲明指出，這些變革和航空業者已採取的措施，將對機內令人無法接受的行為，提供一種有效的嚇阻作用。但如今各國政府必須在這場外交會議獲致的成就上，再採取更進一步的行動，簽訂新的協定。
據指出，不守規矩的乘客在飛機上引發的事端，每週約有300件。湯彥麟說，「我們呼籲各國政府要快速採取行動。」
