馬林魚強打Giancarlo Stanton日前遭觸身球問候，臉部撕裂傷嚴重，並有多處骨折及牙齒受損情形，好消息是，稍早他透過個人社群平台表示，目前傷勢復原良好。

Stanton今天回醫院複診，馬林魚教頭Mike Redmond說，無論Stanton是否能在季末前歸隊，他相信球團會想出更好的方法：「我們明天會公佈消息，但對他來說可能不是好事。」

Stanton在出戰釀酒人，面對先發投手Mike Fiers遭一顆88英哩的速球直擊臉部，當場倒地不起送往醫院。

Redmond先前對Stanton的傷勢感到不樂觀，但他今天表示，目前Stanton恢復良好，臉也消腫許多，之後會再進行評估與測試。

Stanton本季繳出37轟、105打點，打擊率2成88，長打率5成55，球團起初認為Stanton本季將提前關機，剩餘賽事無法參賽，但短時間恢復良好，Redmond反倒希望他能在本季結束前歸隊，有一個完美的回憶，而非在受傷的那場比賽劃下句點，不過未來變數多，Redmond沒辦法確定情況。
