余英時受唐獎 感性懷恩師

史學泰斗余英時今日接受唐獎漢學獎，在受獎致詞時他除了謙虛自己「受之有愧」外，也以感性的語調懷念起他的恩師楊聯陞，並期許唐獎能夠吸引更多青年將新鮮的觀點和見解帶入漢學領域。

余英時今日致詞時，情不自禁地想到他的先師之一楊聯陞先生；他說，自己初次接觸世界漢學是在1955年代後期的哈佛大學，受業於楊先生的門下；楊聯陞指示他去閱讀日本和西方的漢學論著，頓時打開了他的眼界。

余英時說，1967年歐洲漢學泰斗戴密微老人為楊先生的名著《漢學散筆》寫「導言」，特別指出楊先生的學術特色是「真正國際的、天下的」。這一概括清楚地顯示：不但漢學全球化的動向當時已大為開展，而且戴老也認定楊先生是新動向的一位先驅而擊節稱賞。

面對全球化加速前進的時代，余英時表示，漢學新動向也迫切需要進一步發展，隨之而來的則是漢學的陣營必須不斷擴大。他希望：唐獎可以吸引更多的青年才俊，將新鮮的觀點和見解帶進漢學的世界。
