環保署今天說，海研五號船這次執行環保署委託研究，船上有多所大學的研究團隊，想不到研究首次出航就出意外。

海研五號研究船今天行經澎湖外海，疑似觸礁晚間沉沒，海巡、海軍等單位救起船上37人，另8人狀況不明，目前持續搜救中。

行政院環境保護署今天表示，環保署委託台灣海洋大學進行「海域大氣粒狀污染物監測及傳輸模擬先導計畫」，並由海洋大學向科技部國家實驗研究院申請用船，研究空氣污染物在海洋傳輸狀況，以評估對我國海洋生態影響，因此船上有許多採樣設備。

環保署說，本計畫10月才開始，投入約新台幣3400萬，原預計執行一年半，計畫於今年10月、12月及明年1月等共3次出航，想不到第一次出航就出意外，船上有2名環保署環境檢驗所同仁，目前仍不知情況。

國研院網站指出，本次出航計畫由海洋大學、中研院、陽明大學、雲林科技大學、成功大學、台灣檢驗科技、國研院颱洪中心共組探測團隊，自9日至16日於台灣北部海域進行8天探測作業。(中央社)
