根據周五公布的數據顯示，密西根大學與路透社11月消費者信心指數初值上升至89.4，創2007年7月以來高點。10月終值為86.9。

接受MarketWatch調查的分析師平均預估，該指數為88。

在最近一波經濟衰退前的一年裡，消費者信心指數平均為86.9。

經濟學家參考該數據，研判消費者支出情況。消費者支出是經濟的骨幹。
