道奇的明星中外野手Matt Kemp被調往左外野，且在競爭激烈環境下沒有保證天天出賽，Kemp仍是希望回到舊崗位，甚至考慮投效他隊。

Kemp本季出賽86場，打擊三圍0.269/0.330/0.430(打擊率/上壘率/長打率)，有8支全壘打35分打點，各項數據都低於生涯平均。

上半季Kemp被教練團調至左外野防守，離開了熟悉的中外野，當時他還對此公開表示不滿，現在Kemp仍對中外野念念不忘。

根據《ESPN》報導，Kemp為了回到中外野，且尋求每天固定出賽的可能，會考慮透過交易投效他隊。

Kemp的經紀人Dave Stewart說：「不論球隊想做什麼，起碼要給Kemp每天出賽的機會。雖然並不排斥左外野或右外野，但他希望有朝一日能回到中外野。」

在Carl Crawford傷癒歸隊之後，加上Kemp、Yasiel Puig、Andre Ethier跟Scott Van Slyke，道奇外野競爭更加激烈，5搶3的局面只能各憑本事。
