〔自由時報記者陳筱琳／綜合報導〕謝淑薇昨在紐黑文女網賽單打會外賽次輪以3：6、5：7不敵法國賈西雅，賽後隨即轉往紐約為美國公開賽備戰。

辛辛那提男網名人賽，33歲瑞士名將費德爾在準決賽以6：2、6：3輕取小他10歲的加拿大選手拉歐尼奇，締造對戰6連勝，決賽將遭遇西班牙悍將費雷爾。

女子組戰況，從未在此封后的小威廉絲4強賽以2：6、6：2、6：4逆轉「丹麥甜心」沃茲妮雅琪，將與塞國正妹伊凡諾維琪爭奪后冠，伊凡諾維琪在準決賽以6：2、5：7、7：5擊退莎拉波娃。
