根據報導，HTC 雇用了 Samsung 前行銷長 Paul Golden。

HTC 據報已雇用 Samsung 前行銷長 Paul Golden。

Paul Golden 於 2008 至 2012 年於 Samsung 擔任行銷長，正好是 Samsung 興起，開始對抗 Apple 的時間。Golden 在任職期間主導了以 iPhone 為假想敵的「The Next Big Thing」宣傳活動，讓 Samsung 以 GALAXY 系列手機開始衝上 Android 手機市佔第一。

報導同時指出，Paul Golden 一開始僅以三個月短期合約聘用，並在本月開始參與 HTC 的內部會議，不過目前他在 HTC 的長期職位仍未確定。

HTC 過往的行銷活動老實說並不誘人，即使延請了 Robert Downey Jr. 和 Gary Oldman 這些電影大明星，卻仍無法有效利用，僅建立了品牌形象，不過產品銷售卻無法提升。希望這次 HTC 能依靠這位行銷專家扭轉這種情勢，畢竟 HTC 現在全球銷售這麼慘，有一部分正是 Paul Golden 所造成。
