台塑關係企業創辦人王永在今上午告別追思會，同是王家人、台塑創辦人王永慶的女兒王雪紅受訪時表示，非常感念叔叔王永在，尤其他一生一世為台灣、為台塑打拚，希望後輩也學習長輩的創業精神，及勤勞樸實止於至善的精神，希望台灣因為台塑及我們的努力能夠愈來愈好。

告別追思會上，王家成員均在上午8時家祭已到場，不過，王永慶長子王文洋缺席。
