彭博報導，美國上週初次申領失業救濟金人數變動不大，因雇主在經濟好轉之下留住員工。

美國勞工部今天公布的報告顯示，23日止這週，初次申領失業救濟金人數從前1週的29.9萬人，減少1000人至29.8萬人。彭博訪調的46位經濟師預估中值為增至30萬人。

在勞動市場持續進步之下，初次申領失業救濟金人數一直在2007年以來最低水準附近徘徊。現在要靠聘僱員工來降低閒置產能到足以迫使雇主加薪的程度，繼而刺激更多消費者消費。

紐約4Cast Inc.資深經濟師英克雷莫納（SeanIncremona）在報告出爐前說：「我們持續看到初次申領失業救濟金人數在這些循環低點附近徘徊。」初次申領失業救濟金人數在就業增加之下減少，「意味復甦漸漸凝聚動能，並更能自力更生」。

彭博訪調的預估值自28萬到31.5萬人不等。前1週初次申領失業救濟金人數從29.8萬的初值上修。

波動小於每週數據的4週均值，由前1週的30.1萬降至29萬9750人。
