田中將大不是神，隊友不得分，他要贏球也是不可能。

連續兩次碰到金鶯，都未能贏球，今天還吞下難得的第二敗，尤其是兩次都被「馬君殺手」Jonathan Schoop打了全壘打。

「又是被打了全壘打，先丟掉分數，接著分數也沒有能維持住，最後又被拿下了兩分，重要的時刻，沒有能堅持到最後。」

意圖奪取第12勝失利，戰績變成11勝 2敗，這一場比賽掉了3分，雖然仍是優質先發，不過防禦率從1.99上升到2.11，落居運動家的Scott Kazmir之後，美聯排名第二。

「如果在第七局下來的時候，比數還是1比0的話，我覺得還有機會贏球，」田中將大賽後說，「但是整體的投球內容來說，完全不行。」

由於狀況不好，只能一直提醒自己把球壓低，直球也沒有尾勁，平常用來解決對手的滑球及快速指叉球，變化幅度也不夠，在這種情況之下，一向自認耐力十足的馬君，似乎還是有他的極限在。
